Paris season
"1,000 seats for young people" initiative / Nurturing the music lovers
of tomorrow
Over the past eight years, 14,000 concert seats have been offered to young
amateur musicians attending local conservatoires in Paris, allowing them
to attend the most prestigious concerts (the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonics,
Murizio Pollini, Jessye Norman, etc.) |

Loan of two Stradivarius violins and a Stradivarius cello from the LVMH
collections, allowing young virtuosos (such as Maxim Vengerov) to fully express
their exceptional talents. |

Promotion of very young talents through the organization of "Young
Virtuosos" concerts (including a concert at the Pleyd Concert Hall in Paris
on June 21, 1995 during the nationwide Music Festival). |

Grand Masters. |

A diverse range of original initiatives accompanied LVMH -

French high schools: a special magazine on Nicholas Poussin was published
in cooperation with the National Education Documentation Center and distributed
to all classes at the start of the 1994 academic year. This initiative was
repeated for the Cézanne exhibition in 1995. |

Fine arts schools in France (70 schools) and in 15 countries across the
world: creation of the LVMH Young Artist Prize with study grants for further
education (30 artists have so far benefited). |

LVMH Painting and Music Multimedia Workshop, to accompany the Fauvism
exhibition. An innovative initiative for young and old alike combining new
technologies and audio/video interactivity. |

LVMH art discovery classes for 7-12 year olds, organized for the Georges
de la Tour retrospective (1997), the Millet-Van Gogh exhibit a the Musée
d'Orsay (1998) and the Chardin exhibition (1999). Over 3,000 children have
participated in these initiatives. |
